I started the Angular-In-Depth publication with the goal of providing unique in-depth insights into the architecture of web applications built with Angular. I wanted to create a place for aspiring and existing senior engineers and team leads to feed their hungry minds. This endeavor turned out to be quite successful. Last year we received a total number of 5 million views and today we’re nearing the 700k monthly views mark!
I attribute this success to the help of the amazing community of Angular In Depth writers. I was the one who started this publication and had to work really hard to bootstrap it. However, it’s really been the community all along which contributed most of the content, gave me a significant motivation boost, offered vital suggestions and helped spread the word. None of us is as smart as all of us. Human interaction that gives motivation and guidance is essential for progress and growth.
Now I want to combine the idea of sharing in-depth knowledge with the experience of real world, live community interaction. I’ve decided to organize the most technical Angular conference in the world under the same name as the publication. This is the place where advanced Angular concepts will be explained and discussed; the place where Angular In Depth readers can meet their favorite writers. And, of course, we will have core Angular contributors as speakers. By introducing a speaker corner, where each speaker will be taking part in discussions for at least 60 minutes, you’ll have enough time to ask all the questions you want.
A conference is a perfect place for networking, exchanging ideas and inspiration. Live events also force you to break out of your comfort zone and develop your communication skills. Despite the huge amount of effort a conference requires from me, after each conference I always feel a lot more energized and driven to expand my knowledge and grow as a developer. There’s nothing like being in a room of people driven by the same goal of self-improvement. When you sit in a classroom or auditorium, you discover that you’re not alone in wanting to improve your skills and grow as a developer. This is something that many of us are missing at our workplaces. That energy is lacking in all online learning channels, regardless of how much chatter there may be around a hashtag.

Ukraine is a beautiful country that’s just about 2 hours away by plane from most cities in Europe. Because of the low living costs in Ukraine, we can make tickets affordable for most developers, even if you pay out of your own pocket. The majority of tickets are sold at just about $150. This time it will be a rather small conference. We will have only 350 tickets. 20% are already gone. Hurry up, if you want to get one in time :).
It’s important for me to have this conference in my home country. I want to play my part in the integration of Ukrainian developers into the international community. We will be working to have a 50/50 split between visitors from Ukraine and visitors from abroad. For Ukrainian developers that’s an excellent opportunity to meet new people from different European countries with a wide range of backgrounds, whom they can’t encounter at their workplace. I hope that this international environment will promote technical excellence and encourage attendees to develop their English speaking skills.
